You are all invited to fish in the Second Annual Conejos Superfly. The Superfly is a fishing tournament held on the Conejos River with two-man teams competing for fun, prizes, and the chance to be 2007 Superfly Champs. There will be games, prizes, fishing excursions, evening parties and a chance to have your name engraved on the coveted Mayfly Trophy. Here are some of the details:

• 60 to 75 teams
• Top 15 teams from each of first two days will compete for Superfly Champs on Sunday.
• Two man teams
• Teams with off days will be able to sign up for fun fishing excursions to fish for trout, pike, and carp nearby but are not allowed on Conejos. Excursions depart 9:00 from CRA.
• 1 fisherman fishing at a time
• Points are given for every inch of the best 2 fish, one from each participant. Other fish earn two points.
• First 30 paid teams will be entered to start Saturday. Next 30 will begin Friday.
• Entry fee $95.00. Included in entry: Simms Rivertek custom Superfly shirt, prizes, hor’dourves, Movie night and party 4/28, Awards party meal 4/29, swag!
• No limit to number of flies fished
• Draw for beats and registration each morning at shop between 7:30 and 8:00. Fish 9:00 to 4:00 daily.
• Assorted prizes for largest fish, those that might get skunked, etc.
• The event will be sponsored by Simms, Ross, Patagonia, Scott, Sage, Rio, and Fishpond among others. There will be new Scott rods, Sage Rods, Simms Jackets, Ross reels, etc. that will be given away throughout the weekend.
• The guides will be working all April so come a week or two early and get to know the river!
• Most importantly this is for fun. Fish with your dad, mom, brother, friend, or wife. A little luck is what will win this not just the pro who knows it all! If you don’t win you will have spent some time in a beautiful place building lifelong memories!

If you are interested we will be able to help you with lodging and the guides will be helping out those new to the area with directions to beats and other fishing help. This is a fun laid back weekend with access to the best private and public water on the Conejos River. If you come you are not allowed on the river during your off day during the event.
